UVA 2002 Club Build Along
In the Dec 5 club meeting we decided on our 2002 club build-along planes. It was suggested that we have two models for this build-along to accomodate both beginner and intermediate/advanced pilots.

The initial suggestion for a beginner build-along plane was the SIG Kadet LT40. After some discussion we agreed to accept any .40 size trainer plane as a valid entry.

The intermediate/advanced level plane will be the SIG Somethin' Extra. Many club members have already built and flown this plane and agreed that it would be a good choice for the intermediate/advanced pilots. This plane is available as an ARF or BIY kit. We will get pricing information on both versions of the plane from our local hobby shops. If you wish to participate in this build-along, please notify a member of the presidency as to which kit you would prefer (ARF or BIY).

Engine Restrictions

For either plane, the largest size engine you may use is a .47 2-stroke or a .63 4-stroke. (For those who were at the meeting, please note that the max size of the 2-stroke engine was changed to .47 after a few club members asked about the GMS .47)
